How old should my puppy be before housetraining starts?

Answer: Start housetraining immediately. The second you bring your new puppy home, put him down where you want him to do his business.

Should I paper train my puppy?

Answer: Training Pads are an effective and clean way to housetrain pets. OUT!™ Training Pads are made with Super Absorbent Polymer that turns liquid into a gel-like substance to prevent tracking and leakage. Training Pads are convenient and can be placed in several locations in your house, making it easier for your puppy to quickly find the spot where he is supposed to go. Many pet owners who have indoor dogs and who are gone for several hours at a time enjoy the convenience of using Training Pads long after their pet is housetrained.

Why doesn't my puppy go immediately on the Training Pad?

Answer: Your puppy will need to be trained since he is unfamiliar with what you want him to do. Continue to bring him back to the pad after eating, napping and playing. Soon, he will be successful in eliminating on the pad.

How do I teach my dog to go outside after I've taught him to go on the Training Pad?

Answer: After your pet is five months or older and consistently eliminating on a Training Pad, begin to move the pad closer to the door your pet would use to go outside. Only move it about a foot or so each day until the pad is finally right by the door. Continue moving it out the door and toward the area where you want your pet to eliminate. Once you have relocated the pad to the permanent area where you want your pet to eliminate, begin reducing the size of the pad a little more each day by folding it in half and then in quarters and finally removing it completely.

What do I do if my pet does have an accident in the house?

Answer: Expect some mistakes during the housetraining process and be prepared in advance by keeping a bottle of OUT!™ Stain and Odor Remover on hand. It may be used on any water-safe surface and completely removes all traces of the stain and odor. Completely removing all traces of the odor is very important so that your pet does not return to the same area to do his business.

What makes OUT!™ Stain and Odor Remover different from other stain and odor control products?

Answer: Many odor-control products mask an odor instead of removing it. OUT!™ Stain and Odor Remover is made with an all-natural bacterial enzyme formulation that actually digests and completely removes the odor at its source.

What other stains and odors will OUT!™ Stain and Odor Remover work on?

Answer: OUT! Stain and Odor Remover is excellent in removing all types of organic stains and odors including those caused by urine, feces, blood, vomit, hairballs, dirt and grass. It is also wonderful at removing other type of household stains such as stains from coffee, juice, red wine and more.

What can I do to stop my dog from playing with the Training Pad?

Answer: Once your pet learns that the pad is a place to urinate, he will want to play somewhere else.

How many times can my dog use the pad?

Answer: The size of your pet is a determining factor. A puppy or small dog could use the same pad for 2 or more days. A full-grown large dog might need two pads per day.
